Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Announces Mid-Winter Ball Chairs For Silver Anniversary Event

(Greenwood, S.C., Nov. 8, 2012) – Self Regional Healthcare Foundation, along with its Mid-Winter Ball title sponsor Greenwood Capital Associates and Countybank, are pleased to announce Lori and Stephen Davis as the first couple ever to co-chair the ball. Mr. Davis is a current member of the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation's Board of Trustees, and Mrs. Davis has assisted as a volunteer during previous mid-winter ball events.

The 25th annual event, scheduled for Saturday, March 2, at the Little River Multicultural Center in Hodges, has raised more than $2.5 million to support Self Regional Healthcare. Tickets for the ball will be available beginning in December by calling (864) 725-4256. The event has been a sell-out for the past three years.

Mr. and Mrs. Davis will be joined by 25th Silver Anniversary honorary chairs, Anne Magruder and Jackie Smith. Mrs. Magruder was the Executive Director of the Foundation when the Mid-Winter Ball premiered in 1989 and Mrs. Smith chaired the inaugural Ball. Both have remained active with the event throughout its 25-year history.

"Guests can anticipate a walk down memory lane as the history of the past 25 years will be highlighted," commented Mrs. Davis.  "Historical event photos and past themes will be interwoven into the décor and both Stephen and I look forward to wowing guests' senses with an elegant evening to support Self Regional's mission of bringing advanced care closer to home."

Joining title sponsor Greenwood Capital Associates and Countybank is this year's presenting sponsor, Aaron Industries, Inc. and The Links at Stoney Point. "Sponsorships are vital to the success of the Mid-Winter Ball and we are happy to team up with these local corporate partners as we raise the bar on what is already the Lakelands' premier black tie event," commented Jim Pfeiffer, President and CEO of Self Regional Healthcare.
