Self Regional Healthcare Unveils Community Health Mobile Unit
The new mobile unit is part of a community health outreach initiative designed to improve the health and well being of residents of the seven-county region of Upstate South Carolina. The Self Regional Health Express, a 42-foot mobile vehicle, will be utilized by Self Regional to offer wellness and prevention services such as clinical exams, screenings, referral and health education.
Community Invited To Special Cancer Presentation April 23
Self Regional Healthcare is inviting the community to a special community presentation led by four local physicians to discuss three of the most common types of cancer—breast cancer, prostate cancer and colon cancer.

SRH Invites NICU babies (and parents) to NICU reunion on April 27
April 10, 2013. All babies (and their parents) who were patients in Self Regional's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) are invited to attend the 2013 NICU Reunion on Saturday, April 27, at 10 a.m. at the Veranda inside the main entrance of Self Regional Medical Center.
Self Regional Seeks Student Volunteers
March 12, 2013. Self Regional Healthcare is now accepting applications for student volunteers for the summer. High school and college students are encouraged to read more about our program and download our application forms here and return completed by April 12 to the Self Regional Healthcare Volunteer Services department.
Self Regional Cancer Center Achieves Quality Certification
January 30, 2013. Self Regional Healthcare's Cancer Center has achieved QOPI® Certification by the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative, an affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Self Regional is the first health system in the Lakelands to achieve QOPI certification, and one of just three certified practices in the state of South Carolina.
Self Medical Center Laurens Opening January 28
January 24, 2013. Self Medical Center • Laurens, the Lakelands' first patient-centered designed healthcare facility, officially opens January 28. The 28,000-square-foot medical center is located at 22580 Highway 76 East in Laurens and is the new home for physician practices Family Healthcare • Clinton and Internal Medicine • Laurens.
Respiratory Therapy Scholarships
November 28, 2012. Three future respiratory therapists have each been awarded scholarships from the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation to help fund their studies at Piedmont Technical College.
Stroke Quality Achievement
November 19, 2012. Self Regional Healthcare has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get With The Guidelines–Stroke Bronze Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes Self Regional's higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations.
Mid-Winter Ball Chairs Announced
November 8, 2012. Self Regional Healthcare Foundation and Mid-Winter Ball title sponsor Greenwood Capital Associates and Countybank are pleased to announce Lori and Stephen Davis as the first couple ever to co-chair the ball. Mr. Davis is a current member of the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation's Board of Trustees, and Mrs. Davis has assisted as a volunteer during previous mid-winter ball events.

Three New Faces Join to Board of Trustees
October 10, 2012. Self Regional Healthcare welcomed three new members to its Board of Trustees during the September meeting and elected officers. S.C. Governor Nikki Haley appointed cardiologist Dr. Walter Ennis James III, manufacturing executive John B. Thompson, and educational leader Gerald Witt to six-year board terms.

Cancer Center Adds New Highly Precise Stereotactic Radiation Option
May 10, 2012. The Cancer Center took another step forward this spring with the introduction of a new option in radiation oncology treatments: Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), which delivers highly precise and concentrated radiation to a small area in the body.
