Additional Information: Holiday lights will be twinkling at Self Regional Medical Center on Thursday, Dec. 11th during the annual Lights for Love tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m.
The event will feature holiday entertainment, light refreshments, and the Lights for Love Star is being lit this year in memory of Dr. Wiley N. Price, Jr. who established Greenwood Internal Medicine in 1952.
All honorees at the event will have their names listed on the Scroll of Honor, which will be displayed at the Medical Center throughout the holiday season, and acknowledgment cards will be sent to whomever the contributor designates. Mrs. Carolyn Lyons from the Self Regional Auxiliary is serving as the chairperson for this year’s event.
The annual event raises funds for the Self Regional Healthcare Auxiliary, with the funds being designated to the Self Regional Cancer Center. The goal for the 2014 event is $18,000, with levels of giving ranging from $5 for an individual honoree to $500 for the star atop the tree. All gifts are tax-deductible.
