(Greenwood, SC, Sept. 22, 2014) – Things are about to get a whole lot pinker.
Self Regional Healthcare’s fourth annual Pretty in Pink, the area’s largest breast cancer awareness celebration, is scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Medford Center at Piedmont Technical College. Event tickets, which are $20 per person, are now on sale and a limited number of tables are available. To purchase, contact Oncology Navigator Katie Davis at (864) 725-5977 or at kdavis@selfregional.org
The 2014 Pretty in Pink celebration will feature an inspiring hallmark of the event: a breast cancer survivor fashion show featuring local women who have undergone treatment for the disease. Entertainment at the event will come from the fantastically funny characters Norma Jean and Dot from Greenville’s Café and Then Some theater.
“Pretty in Pink allows us to give back to the community with an event that inspires hope and allows us to celebrate our breast cancer survivors,” said Julie McDade, Self Regional Cancer Center Manager. “For many women in our community, this has become an annual tradition, and we encourage you to purchase your tickets now since it has consistently sold out quickly.”
Ticket sales will be donated to the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation’s Cancer fund to help provide mammograms for women who need financial assistance. The event will feature raffle items from local merchants. All attendees are invited to wear pink to the event.
