(Greenwood, S.C., March 21, 2017) – Self Regional Healthcare is excited to announce that it has partnered with The DAISY Foundation and will be honoring exceptional nurses with the DAISY Award, an international program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence our nurses bring to their patients every day.
This international award was created in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at age 33 of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), an autoimmune disease. The Barnes Family was profoundly impacted by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created this award to say thank you to nurses everywhere.
Self Regional nurses may be nominated by patients, families, physicians and/or colleagues. Recipients will be chosen by a committee to receive The DAISY Award and awards will be given throughout the year at presentations in the nurses’ departments along with their colleagues, physicians, patients and visitors.
Have you or someone you know received extraordinary care from one of our wonderful nurses at Self Regional? If so, tell us about them using the nomination form below.
