(Greenwood, S.C., May 22, 2019) Beyond Abuse, Greater Greenwood United Ministry and Hospice Care of the Piedmont applied for and were awarded grant funds from Self Regional Healthcare’s Community Health Committee to continue improving their respective care programs.
Beyond Abuse, leading the community beyond sexual violence and child abuse through awareness, advocacy and action, was awarded $54,000 to continue their growth of direct victim services including hiring two contract therapists.
The Greater Greenwood United Ministry received $45,000 for support of their intervention, medical clinic and dental services. The funds will cover the costs for providers, a pharmacist, a translator medical supplies and medications.
Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont enriches the lives of those with advanced illness, supported by members of the community in which they serve. $34,000 was granted to the organization to implement the Allscripts electronic medical records system, which will result in simplified charting, secure communication and easier prescription processing for patients and providers.
