The Wound Healing Institute of Self Regional Healthcare is dedicated to state-of-the-art outpatient clinical wound care and hyperbaric medicine.
We utilize the newest clinical tools in wound healing, along with traditional clinical practices, including: wound dressings, debridement, compression therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, total contact casting, prescriptive growth factors, bioengineered skin grafting, and edema management.

What We Do
Patient care at the center focuses on a whole-body approach to wound healing, including:
• Nutritional assessment and counseling
• Diabetic education
• Patient and caregiver counseling
• Pressure-relief devices, including beds, seat
cushions, and footwear.
A Team of Specialists
Your team is comprised of healthcare professionals dedicated to healing your wounds:
• Physicians specially trained in wound
management and hyperbaric medicine
• Specially trained wound care nurses and hyperbaric
treatment staff
• Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence
Nurse (CWOCN) specialist
• Patient-focused administrative staff
Your primary care physician is also part of our team. He or she will continue to manage underlying diseases and overall care while you receive wound treatment.
Wound Treatment Program
You will undergo a thorough diagnostic examination to identify the type of wound you have and the underlying problems causing the wound. A program designed to meet your needs will be initiated based on the most effective treatment options.
Your treatment plan may include:
• Selection of appropriate dressings and advanced modalities.
• Hyperbarics
• Vascular screening
• Debridement
• Evaluation for orthodics and equipment
• Advanced foot and nail care
• Ostomy Care

Once a treatment plan has been initiated, you will visit the Wound Healing Institute on a regular basis for wound care. You will be instructed on how to participate in your own wound care at home between visits, as well as how to protect your wound from further complications, or you may need a visiting nurse to assist you with wound care.
