Advanced ICU Care’s and MUSC’s team of intensivists and critical care nurses work around-the-clock complementing the care provided by the Self Regional physicians. The program continuously monitors patient vital signs, medications, labs and clinical status.
These announcements come just months after the two healthcare organizations entered into an affiliation agreement that was designed to enhance and improve healthcare services available in Edgefield County. Dr. Marshall was the catalyst behind establishing a Level III NICU at Self Regional, the only Level III NICU in the Lakelands region, which allows our organization to take care of some of the smallest and sickest babies. He also was instrumental in the construction of the NICU in the early 1990s and spearheaded the renovations that were completed in March of this year.
