Self Regional Healthcare, a not-for-profit healthcare system serving 250,000 residents of the Lakelands region, is a recipient of the Gallup Great Workplace Award for the ninth consecutive year. The Self Regional Heart and Vascular Center is holding a community-based Automatic External Defibrillator, or AED, grant program to train and equip community members in case of a cardiac emergency. The program’s goal is to increase awareness of what to do in a cardiac emergency, train more people on how to perform hands-only CPR and to equip various facilities in the Lakelands region with AEDs in case of an emergency.
