The Self Regional Healthcare Community Health Committee meets regularly with the goal to improve health prevention and wellness for the residents of the community.
The top 20 CAHs, including Edgefield County Healthcare, scored best among CAHs as determined by the Chartis Center for Rural Health for Best Practice in Quality. There are approximately 1,400 critical access hospitals in the country. The rankings were recently announced by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA).
Self Regional Healthcare board chairman, David A. Tompkins, announced today that Jim Pfeiffer, President and CEO, has notified the board of his intention to retire effective December 21, 2021.
