Please be advised that if you previously received electronic statements, this is no longer an option.

You may also mail your payment with your paper statement remit stub.  (please include your account number.)

Paperless Billing Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What does it mean when you say paperless statements or paperless billing? This means billing statements will be sent through MyChart, email and/or text and no longer in the mail.  If you prefer paper statements, and you are a MyChart user, you can easily login to MyChart and return the default to paper statements.  If you are not a MyChart user, you will either need to follow the links, within the notifications received, or call 864-725-7800 for assistance with returning the default to paper statements.  
  2. What if I want to continue receiving paper statements? Resuming paper statements is easy. If you prefer to opt out of paperless billing, and you are a MyChart user, login to your MyChart account at mychart.selfregional.org or using the MyChart app on your mobile device. Locate the billing section and scroll to the section where you see, “If you would like to receive paper statements, you may cancel paperless billing.” Select “cancel paperless billing.  If you are not a MyChart user, you will either need to follow the links, within the notifications received, or call 864-725-7800 for assistance with returning the default to paper statements.  
  3. What happens if I don’t realize that I have a statement ready and I miss the due date? Your statement will revert to mail and you may receive a phone call to remind you that your bill is past due.
  4. What if I try paperless statements and don’t like it? Can I return to paper statements? Yes, you can opt out of paperless billing at any time. MyChart users will simply login to your MyChart account at mychart.selfregional.org or using the MyChart app on your mobile device.   5. I have both hospital and physician bills. Will both be transitioned to paperless statements/billing? Yes, both hospital and physician bills will now be paperless.
  6. I need help to opt out of paperless billing. Is there someone I can call for assistance? Yes, a representative can assist you with opting out of paperless billing. Please call our customer service line at 864-725-7800.
