Professional Bio
Dr. Jerry Galloway is a native of Greenwood, SC. He is a comprehensive eye surgeon and physician with a special interest in vitreoretinal surgery and diseases, complicated eye reconstructive procedures, high risk surgical cataract patients, and premium IOL (multifocal and toric) cataract surgery. He has been on staff at Self Regional Healthcare System and practicing in Greenwood, SC, since 1984. In 2003, he left his previous practice affiliation and formed his own practice, Galloway Regional Eye Center, PA. He completed construction on his new state of the art office in 2005.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering at Clemson University in 1976, graduating with high honors. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1980 from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. In 1981 he completed his internship at the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at West Virginia University School of Medicine in 1984. Dr. Galloway is Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Galloway enjoys woodworking, bicycling, fishing, and outdoor yard work and riding his tractor. He also enjoys computer diagnostic work both at work and at home.
