Professional Bio
Dr. Matt Bachinski is a senior partner of Digestive Disease Group and The Greenwood Endoscopy Center which he joined in 2001. He has a vast academic background and held the title of Associate Professor of Medicine and Chief of Endoscopy at the Medical College of Georgia and Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Bachinski holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts and received his Medical Degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. His internship and residency were completed with the US Army at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Bachinski is an active staff member of Self Regional Healthcare where he is Chief of Endoscopy. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and Hepatology and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology. He is also a member of the South Carolina Medical Association, the South Carolina Gastroenterology Association and the Greenwood County Medical Society. Dr. Bachinski’s experience covers all aspects of Gastroenterology with special emphasis on diseases of the liver and pancreas.
